Bidrage med feedbackI give this place 5 stars to taste and quality alone. The place is small, not quite a hole, but close, but aren't they the best finds in the business all day? I was on the copycat trying to make an Alberts Carne Asada Burritto. I can only say they missed! Avoid Vally View and Imperial Hwy. ****! Alberts makes Tasty great portions of food on their entire menu and it just tastes great, and everything they serve is under $10 dollars. I went to this for 15 years, and I never realized how good they are until I ate the imitation place called Albertos. ****!
Hungry and don't have much money to spend for food? Then go to Albert’s in Norwalk (or one of their other locations). This place serves better quality of fast food style Mexican cuisine compared to Del Taco, Taco Bell and most other Taquerias out there. And at a much cheaper price. I would give this place 5 stars, but I have mixed fillings about their portion sizes – they are HUGE!!! I hate to admit it, but places like these encourage about food and obesity, because the food is so good and cheap with humiliated portions. My brother recently moved into this part of the city and he and I love Taquitos. He said this place served really good taquitos, so we went there when I visited him last weekend. It is next to a car wash. I think it used to be part of the Alberto chain that shattered in the late 90s. There is no big restaurant, but there are outdoor seating, in addition to the 4 tables they have inside. The place is open 24 hours and its video security camera monitors the outdoor space. My brother said he was in this place at different times of day and night and they always seem to be the same employees. he wondered if they ever went home to sleep. I told him they had to have some kids on the back. My brother ordered her 10 Taquitos-Platten-Special and I decided to try her 2 Enchilada-Special – I ordered 1 beef and 1 cheese. When the food arrived, I was soiled in the size of the Taquitos plate. I don't think I've ever seen cheese stacked so high. I had difficulty fitting the whole court on a horizontal view of my camera, so I also took a vertical shot. The enchilada plate also looked very filling, only in sight alone. I have to admit that the taquitos are really good. They use real guacamole, not those fake things that many Taquerieas use today. The cheese mix of Nacho and Jack cheese was a bit bland. I wish they used the white, dry Mexican cheese instead. I guess Alberts buys the cheap nacho and Jack cheese in Bulk with their other shops and transfers the savings to their customers. The taquitos themselves had a good taste and perfectly crisp. They are a little bigger and thicker than I prefer – I like the slim better. Overall, they are almost as good as my fave taquitos from Colima’s down in San Diego. The beef enchilada I had was good. The meeting was very delicate and they thoroughly cooked the paprika so that I didn't get a case of berries afterwards – I am in the end much buried when I eat raw or undercooked paprika. The cheese enchilada was also good. Not the best I ever had, but still good. The side of rice and beans was also good quality. For a drink I had her extra big horchata. I forget the brand they used, but their good Horchata. Not as good as home made horchata natural, but much better than this ubiquitous Ole brand. I would definitely come back for future visits, but I will make sure I'm hungry. The service is fast and efficient. There are enough parking spaces on the back of the building.
The super fries are good again, they updated the staff and quality of food the plates are good and the service is better than a few years ago . Craving Mexican food late at night? Well stop by this place and you will sleep with a full tummy.
