Staff are amazing and are very knowledgable can answer any questions or queries. Gluten free pizza bases and pasta available and our server pointed out exactly what was suitable and what to avoid. Served your own gluten free bread which is kept separate. Everything tasted delicious and would definitely recommend to anyone coeliac or gluten avoidance!

We like a trip to Morpeth every now and then and a nice lunch makes the day. Lollo Rosso is located in a great position on the main street in an old ironmonger’s building. Internally, the place has had quite a makeover and now has restaurant seating over two floors. Decor is tasteful and modern and there’s an open kitchen downstairs. It’s a pizza/pasta kind of place so you probably know the menu without even needing to look. I expected it to be reasonable priced and it was. I expected friendly service and got it. I hoped for the ‘traditional’ larger than life and very Italian maitre d’ and I’m pleased to say there he was! I didn’t expect too much from the food but was pleasantly surprised. You may have had these dishes before, but they are well done and genuine. My only slight negative was that there didn’t seem to be a wine list (although there was certainly wine). Still, the house red turned out to be decent enough and not too pricey. It says it all that this place was easily the busiest lunch spot in town on the day we went. It was fun, friendly and didn’t break the bank. We’ll definitely be back.

As Usual Lollos came up trumps again .lively spot with good food lovely hosts well schooled waiting staff. Reasonably priced love it
