Bidrage med feedbackWas lucky enough to come in as soon as they opened so it was nice and empty I had no problem ordering from the menu, it was easy to read.. Ended up going with the jerk chicken enchiladas because it was a very interesting combination and it sounds really good. And let me tell you it does not disappoint! They had great music playing that makes you feel like you are back on the islands. The hostess was nice. The food did not take long and it came out piping hot and fresh. Please stop here if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed. For any veterans that leave the VA hospital, definitely come here for lunch!
Glad this place is still around! I frequently order take-out lunch since it is close to my work. My favorite order is the CHICKEN ENMOLADAS! They are delicious!!! I also love the GUIZO DE PUERCO. Their PLATANOS FRITOS are great too and so are their RICE AND BEANS. You will leave satisfied!
The food was great! The service was great too from the very moment weset foot in the door. (This seems rare nowadays, sadly.)We ordered coconut chicken and jerk chicken plates both with dirty rice and beans. I had slaw and the rest of our group had rice and Cuban fries as a side. Everything was tasty. We liked the jerk dipping sauce best. Mango was tasty too. Watermelon agua fresca was good/refreshing. The nice lady helping us said she just made it fresh. I appreciated her offering to water mine down a little when I asked about the added sugar content. She also brought me ice water on the side to balance out the sweetness to my liking. I thought that was a nice gesture. We will definitely be back to try more on the menu. The place was clean and friendly. I liked the Bob Marley music playing. I wondered why it wasn't more crowded. We had the place to ourselves except for one other single diner. Go give it a try!
Since moving to the San Fernando Valley area. I have been looking for quality Caribbean food. Well, Cha Cha Chicken ain't it! My first clue should have been, the place was empty and we all know the saying about an empty restaurant. I ordered the jerk hot wings and was just flat-out horrible. Like who can mess up hot wings? The wings were fried, in some type of batter, that lacked seasoning. I doubt if anyone cooking this food has even been to the Caribbean. Save your money and time. Or the Chicken won't be the only jerk in the place.
Cha Cha Chicken is a family restaurant where you're treated like family after entering. I love the cozy Caribbean vibe that this place provides and their service staff is exceptional. The server is attentive and answered all of my questions about the dishes I was curious about, they even gave us extra items so we can try them. All the dishes we tried such as enchiladas, quesadillas were wonderful. I'm a huge fan of plantains and their plantains with rice and beans were soft, sweet and full of flavor. I don't usually order chicken but the chicken here was the most juicy, moist and full of spice. I wish I can give this place more than 5 stars!
