Bidrage med feedbackGreat place to grab a jerk chicken lunch special! It was super filling. Will be returning to try the oxtail stew.
Awesome food. Very impressed with the chili poutine. The fries taste much better than in most other places. I wish I had time to try the rest of the menu. I would like to see the perishable condiments stored in a better way though.
Ordered 2 dishes for myself and my friend as I was visiting his area. Curry goat and oxtail. Got a side salad and 2 pieces jerk each. We paid 79 dollars, fine. When we sat down to eat we quickly came to realize we?d been ripped off. The curry goat and oxtail were mostly bones and fat. This is something people feed to guard dogs in upcoming countries. There was almost no meat all rice and sauce. The ?coleslaw? we got with our combo came in a little plastic container a normal restaurant would use the to give a side of ketchup in. We were hoping the collard greens and jerk would redeem it. The collard greens tasted like someone was cooking for the first time. Very nasty and strong flavour. The jerk chicken was so dry. Would NOT recommend this place even though the food smells good from the outside. My friend and I assume the man in the back (owner? eats and saves the good parts of the animal for him and his family and leaves the bones for flavour and sells it at premium prices to customers?.
Pleasantly surprised to have stumbled across some good jerk chicken (had oxtail gravy on the rice) and wow they do it good here. During the week they have a jerk 9.99 lunch special (I believe) and it is definitely good to resolve your cravings with just enough food imo. Comes with coleslaw or maybe that was an option either way it was a decent coleslaw to go with the meal. Overall pretty good I?ll def run it back when I?m in the area solid 4/5
This was my usual spot for buying lunch. Today Aug 29, I went to buy my regular vege meal. The price went up from last week $7.72 to $9.07. Remember this is a small meal. I usually get the chick peas and callaloo with some rice. The chick peas was a watery goo with more potatoes than peas. I had to ask the server where is the callaloo. I don?t mine paying the increase price but come on people, don?t rob me of the food. I will be cooking my own from now on.
