Pickle Barrel - North York

Was from shopping and decided to eat a bite. We stopped at Pickle Barrel. Our server was amazing and we ordered the fried Winton nachos as our appetizers and ordered the Crispy Chicken Burger and my husband ordered the Triple Decker Grilled... cheese with bacon.. It was all delicious and the atmosphere was so relaxing and enjoyed our meal. We look forward to having dinner there again!!

Decided to try our luck after a show. To my surprise, the quality of food was pretty good we ordered Paella. It'll be back.

I'm coming here all the time. So the reviews I see that gives them 1 star, I wonder if these are from some people who are only mostly negative people. But here's the truth as I'm a regular customer. I live near... I have some plans to eat with friends, I'm going to P B. I'm going if it's not busy or even if it's not. It doesn't take long to wait. The service is perfect. But we need to understand that sometimes when REALLLLY is busy during the weekend and if you are planning to bring a few people, make sure you book (more than 10 I believe) that they do. Well, if you have less than one. Make sure you are patient. Sometimes we think because we want something that others are obliged to give it 100% immediately. Nothing's perfect. If you're looking for a perfect place, you'll never find one. Even people who fully expect are not perfect, so I am not sure why they think that the word actually exists? I just know that the staff at P B are warm and friendly. I and my friends often go here and we got nothing more than big customer service. The one place I'll never go is Cheesecake Factory. Because I was not only treated with disregard for her childish receptionist, who speaks as if she had never attended school, but with prejudices against black Asian people. Once I even tried to go back to order something for a cheesecake. There was a white client who didn't wear a mask and the girl behind the counter said nothing, but when I tried to approach the line where the cakes are because I tried to see what they have since they didn't have what I wanted from the internet, she was like, apologise me miss, you can't come near... I WHAT THE LINE?! This just put the nail in the coffin that this place does not train their employees to be fair for all. Like someone's behind these cameras and just trying to get me. The WHITE CUSTOMER did not wear a mask, how did it come near the counter? and order??? That's the truth... I don't often give reviews, but if you ask me between the two places. I choose P B at any time because great places do not necessarily come with the greatest menu as long as there are great people in it. I'll choose people all the time. It happens that P B got both, Great People and Great Menu. In addition to P B, for many years and not even in my experience that I have been treated unfriendly and with prejudice I have never heard that they are closed by the health department. Cheesecake Factory was closed a few months after opening in Yorkdale because they are caught over them with the same sink where they put their dirty plates with mop water. Don't surprise me how they treat the customer in the face, what's more behind the scenes.... they obviously don't care. So anyway. I trust what the health department says and I trust how I was treated there twice. I never use the racist map because I have friends who are not the same nationality as I am. But with this restaurant it's just too obvious. So there's your honest truth. If you are white go to Cheesecake Factory it seems that they prefer this color. But if you really want a great customer service from a non-priority restaurant, go to P B.

We went to the Yordale location. We expected a nice relaxing meal there. We ordered two steak dinners coming with salad. 5 minutes after the order we got our salads. And six minutes after our Steak dinner. We had a table full of food. I wish I had taken a picture. Steak was brilliant. Worst meal I ever had. After dinner, my best friend flew back to Regina. I wish we decided somewhere else.

My first time there and it was a great spot. Chose the meatloaf. It was good though i would have chose a sweet and sour for topping, if a choice was given. Waitress was excellent. I hope to go back sometime.
