Bidrage med feedbackI came here with a group of 8 for lunch. My friend had made reservations but when I arrived, the server struggled to find the reservation. We ordered a variety of dishes including crispy cantonese chow mein, fried taiwanese vermicelli, fried turnip, diced sirloin in golden bowl, and chicken lettuce wrap. The servers who delivered the food were not the same as the server who took our order. And as the food began to arrive, we had to ask for plates. We also had to actively ask for refills of the hot tea and hot water. One person had asked for coffee which was never delivered. While the restaurant is in a good location and the food was good, the service was quite lacking.
This restaurant is very tech-savvy. Upon arrival, you add your name and phone number to a waiting list displayed on a screen. Once your name is called, you are shown to your table. Then comes the tech part - you scan a QR code on your table's receipt and input your chosen options into a digital basket and submit the order. A display will then show you your order. Our food started arriving within 15 minutes, and everything we ordered was delicious and plentiful. The staff were all professional, polite, and helpful. The only downside was the ordering system, which had some issues likely due to being new and operator errors. Keep up the good work!
The restaurant seemed promising at first, but the seafood we ordered had a strong ammonia smell, indicating that it was bad and old. It was not prepared properly. I did not mention this to my dining partner. We also ordered rice with tomato sauce and white sauce. The tomato sauce had meat fat in it, although it looked less greasy than the noodles. The portions were large, and we ended up taking home leftovers. Unfortunately, we had to discard the leftovers due to the poor quality of the food. I was sick for 12 hours afterwards, likely due to the oil they used in the cooking. I questioned the freshness of the seafood. Overall, it was a bad experience and I am not inclined to go back.
I am absolutely hooked on this seafood chow mein and find myself coming back for more every time. It's incredibly delicious and generously portioned, perfect for sharing.
Even though it 's called Congee Queen , they serve much more than just congee. The menu is quite extensive. We tried the wonton noodle soup, hakim fried rice, a sea bass dish, a BBQ platter, the Singapore taro cake, and a few other dishes they were all excellent! Prices are fairly reasonable for the portions you get. Oh and the mango slush with bubbles is really yummy. They are always busy, so be prepared to wait. However, tables get turned over fairly quickly, so the wait is usually not that bad.
