Bidrage med feedbackFirst time at All Star Wings and Ribs<br/ <br/ The place is pretty great if you 're a big sports fan as there are TVs everywhere and locked into booths as well. Located right by the Scarborough Town Centre, the restaurant is in the same plaza as the supermarket (FreshCO? I don 't remember and am too lazy to look) on McCowan and Ellesmere. <br/ <br/ First of all, the choices for wing sauces is ridiculous! I didn 't count them but I would guess it 's easily over 100 different combinations. The crappy part for me is that they don 't give you a description of what the sauces actually are and you 're forced to ask the poor waitress for any questions you may have. Being the indecisive person that I am, I found it a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, you can pretty much guess certain sauces. Caesar Does Texas and Texan Creole...gee, I wonder what those could be...<br/ <br/ I opted for the 'This is Sparta! ' sauce which was chipotle BBQ wings and Tzatziki. Sounded good when I repeated it in my head, but I just wasn 't a fan of the combination. The wings come coated in the Chipotle BBQ sauce but it 's not mixed with the Tzatziki as the tzatziki is just poured over it. I will say that the wings without the tzatziki were actually pretty damn good. They were crispy, hot, and really juicy on the inside. <br/ <br/ Servers are friendly with some looking pretty good. Clientele here look like a bunch of douchebags, which is fine as I 'll just ignore them and focus on my football. The prices are pretty standard, and that wing selection is intense!
Why is there more grilled cheese sandwiches offered than burgers at this pub...? Not sure. And why are there a gazillion flavours of wings...? Choices, I say! I highly recommend the Jamaican jerk (4 hot peppers) awesome heat and a bit of tang that keeps those taste buds of yours on their toes. The mehican burger was good (dining partner had) and it was a good call to ask for gravy with fries!
There are a lot of wing flavors and even the waitress didn't know what some of them were. The appetizers I shared were the jalapeño popcorn shrimp and the sweet potato fries. They were mediocre. I ordered Nero's Epilogue which was garlic and hot sauce mixed together. The wings were pretty good but not the best I have tasted. I preferred the honey garlic wings my sister ordered.
Had been here with friends..Great ambience and thats probably one of the best things abt this place! The food is okay and service is good. Will not mind going back and this time to try the wings which has got raving reviews! Inderjit Vasudevan Moorthy
Good and bad. First off, great atmosphere. Wings taste great and are large (pumped with hormones of course). I didn't have any issues with service or speed like some of the reviews.. I mean it does get fairly packed in there so if the server is new, they may still be adjusting to a very busy environment.<br/ <br/ My issues are these..<br/ <br/ -WAY too much selection of wing flavors with literally no explanation of what they are so I find this can be fairly annoying. And I'm sure neither myself as a customer or the server of the time or patience to go over what's in each wing selection. Because of this, you can't really pick what may be best for you and just end up settling with whatever looks like something you would understand on the menu.<br/ <br/ -Another minus for me is that fries do not come with your wings. You're basically paying like $11-12 for a pound of wings then another $4-5 to add some fries. St Louis wings wins my over with this as every pound you order comes with a fries and the side and their fries are absolutely AMAZING!!!! And the dill dipping sauce is amazing as well, but All Stars dips are also decent. <br/ <br/ -Didn't notice any daily specials and no specials on drinks.. again this is where St Louis wings me over.. the one close to here (behind Scarborough Town Center) has daily food and daily drink deals.<br/ <br/ All in all, awesome wings (try the Nero, its amazing) with some minor room for improvement.<br/ <br/ Thanks for reading!
