Bidrage med feedbackLove this truck! It has vegan and gluten free options and most other trucks don't! I read the one guys review of this truck and he said that they don't have blue cheese so I asked them why and the girl told me that they are sponsored by Independent Health and the blue cheese has too much saturated fat in it so independent health won't allow them to have it on the truck
Very disappointed. The truck was visiting my husband 's place of employment. I requested that he get me the Edgy Veggie . The salad was rather small for the $11.00 cost. This pre-made salad was to have included beets and chickpeas, both of which I obsess over. Guess what, neither of my must haves were included. Live and learn.
We've all been there. You pack lunch then aren't in the mood to eat it. Or you chow down on something unhealthy then wish you would have eaten better. I love the idea of a salad bar truck! You walk up the steps, peek into the variety of lettuces, meats, cheese, veggies, nuts and fruits. And whatever you are in the mood for is what you'll enjoy for lunch. And I highly recommend the Concord Grape dressing. So delicious!!!!!!!! There's more food trucks in Buffalo than ever and there are some really great ones. I give The Salad Bar Truck 2 thumbs up for being a healthy option with tasty toppings and friendly staff.
With tons of food truck options out there, one thing to keep in mind is reliability. That is something you never have to worry about with J&L BBQ and The Salad Bar food trucks. Not only is the food fresh and delicious, and the staff is friendly and fast paced, but we can always count on them to come on the dates we book with them months prior. Having a truck cancel last minute is a let down to a lot of staff and we never have to worry about that with J&L. Their smoked wings are amazing and The Salad Bar offers a fresh and healthy lunch option. If you are a local business looking for food trucks to bring to your next event, this is one of the best options!
Apparently this truck is part of the J&L BBQ Truck family. Recently they came around to my office, a coworker and I had been intrigued by their offerings only to find out our admin had the outdated winter menu. This truck is a bit unique and sort of not handicap accessible. Walking up the first thing you 'll notice is a raise walkway with stairs. Take note to enter towards the rear of the truck and as you walk through you 'll pay at the passenger side window. It was like a fair attraction, walking up and down the aluminum walkway clacking as you go. The have both predesigned salads and design as you go, think the Subway of salads. I selected the buffalo chicken salad and was later amused I was uncharged for chicken even though it was part of the salad. You can select your lettuce and toppings, including cheeses. The cherry tomatoes were served whole which I thought was odd but I kept it moving. In addition they have a good variety of dressings from rich to basic however the only dressing they didn 't have was blue cheese!?!?! How do you offer a buffalo chicken salad in WNY without blue cheese dressing!?!?!? Overall it was alright but I 've had and made better salads elsewhere. True salad lovers might finds this place heaven.
