I tried the laksa on the special menu. in my 20 years, eating viet and eating laksas, it was a full shock when it came completely white in color. worst laksa I ever had and given the price 14) I really expected it better. my colleague had the same wave length of the feedback for her boar roll.
It did not realize that everything on the tower square is closed for the renovation. what to eat? viet’s pho left a sign with directions to their new location, the mount street over aldi. especially wanted a nudel soup, I got the special combination spicy nudel soup to take along. the suppe looked a little oily, but tasted good. the portion was a little light in the sense that it was usually just suppe, not much noodles, ok toppings, but could do with a bit more. but still some of their other offers to try.
Beautiful lunch here today grilled chicken, vermicelli salat. all Vietnamese aromes that they expect were there, fresh crumbled, tender bun and well cooked noodles made this a delicious lunch. service was fast and very friendly.
Taking into consideration location and the other Viet places around, this is our preferred place in North Sydney. In no way is it in the league of Cabramatta or Bankstown phos but it will satisfy your craving for a midweek lunch if you are willing to fork out $13 or so for a raw or cooked beef pho, vermicelli salad or pork chop and rice. They also do rice paper rolls for $8.50 (3 rolls) and a modernised version of banh mis (lemongrass pork, etc) as well as the traditional pork roll You are supposed to add your own condiments and herbs to your soup with a choice of sauces, chili oil, fresh chili, lemon, mint, basil and sprouts.
