Scarlett's - North Somerset

I visited this restaurant based on a suggestion from a coworker, and I was not disappointed. The restaurant was spacious, clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly. It was pretty busy when we arrived so there was a bit of a wait for our food, but it was definitely worth it. The breakfast I had was delicious and well-cooked, and my friend's Eggs Benedict looked amazing. I would definitely recommend this place.

My partner and I visited Scarlett's to get some Marshfield Farm ice cream for takeout, as it's our favorite. I politely asked the server, Abbey, if she could change her gloves, and she immediately inquired if I had any food allergies. I mentioned that I have coeliac disease, and Abbey went above and beyond to accommodate me. She changed her gloves, brought out fresh, unopened tubs of ice cream from the freezer, and scooped out fresh ice cream just for me. We were truly impressed by Abbey's caring and thoughtful service, which was a refreshing change from the norm. Most people wouldn't bother to check food labels, let alone go to the lengths Abbey did, especially on a busy, sunny day. We were grateful for the excellent customer service provided by Abbey and will definitely be returning to Scarlett's when we visit Clevedon again. Sincerely, Helen and Karl

My family and I went to this restaurant and ordered some food. Unfortunately, several items we wanted weren't available, but we made do. The jackets (potatoes) were nice, and so were the fish Goujons. However, the tandoori wrap had more vegetables than chicken and the wrap itself was hard. While we were eating, a lady who had been dining outside came in and ordered ice cream, which was served to her inside. When we tried to order ice cream for our children, we were told we had to order outside. It felt like there were different rules for different customers. In the end, we paid our bill, left disappointed, and went somewhere else for ice cream.

Nice surroundings however not very accommodating. We wanted to add avocado to a breakfast option and was told that they wouldn’t do that. Strange as they had avocado as an option on other options. Having seen your reply, it’s obvious that you didn’t listen to our request. We asked can we order poached eggs and avocado. We didn’t want to swap anything. I was happy to pay whatever you wanted to charge me, however I was just told NO. That’s why I was disappointed. All you had to do was say YES we can do that but it will be extra. Just to be told NO doesn’t seem very accommodating.

Scarlett's is a small café near the pier. There is a lot of outside seating for good weather, but it can still get busy. The lunch menu is varied and fairly traditional. The staff are very responsive and the service is quick, even when the café is packed.
