Bidrage med feedbackI never expected to find traditional Southern cuisine in the northern part of the country, but Suga Peach exceeded my expectations. The food is delicious, though not exactly health-conscious, it is a comforting taste of Southern hospitality. The restaurant is clean with a laid-back atmosphere. They offer a variety of dishes, so you won't have to settle for just the usual mac and cheese.
The food was good. Nice restaurant. The staff was friendly. I'd eat here again.
The owners of the restaurant are lovely! However, I recommend that they avoid reheating their food too frequently. The only items that tasted truly fresh were the fish and chicken. Overall, everything was good, but some dishes seemed a bit overcooked, like eating Thanksgiving leftovers all week. It seemed like items on the menu weren't always available, as they were already made when the restaurant opened 30 minutes prior, so it doesn't appear that they cook fresh food daily.
Amazing people and great food. As Southerners? ve felt something outside the area, but this place feels like home. I can't recommend it enough.
I'm not much of a cook, and when it comes to all things fried, i leave it up to the pros. to be honest, when I moved to Iowa, i thought my good fried chicken days were over. I've never been much of a KFC fan, and I love my sides to taste home made. Then I found Sugapeach! Crispy chicken on the outside gives way to steamy, moist chicken on the inside. Soul perfection. Add to it some Delicious sides including hush puppies which brings me back to my childhood. Amazing food and beautiful people who own/operate this place adds up to 5 stars in my book! try it... they'll treat you like family!
