Bidrage med feedbackI went to the Millstream as we were new to the area and wanted to give it a go. We booked a table the day before, as we thought it would be busy being a Sunday on the run up to Christmas. Had we not...booked, we wouldn't have got a table. As it was, we did have to wait minutes, but I thought that was reasonable given the place was packed!! The server was polite and efficient, and our food came out after a fair amount of time. I ordered a small turkey roast dinner, which was delicious. I'm glad I went for the small, as there too much for me. My husband got the regular roast meal. Again it was big, but he didn't find the quality to be anything to write home about. My children enjoyed their meals. The draft Amstel was very nice. Would I go again? Yes, probably. But I'd like to try some other places around Hitchin/Letchworth and the surrounding villages first.
My daughter and I wanted a quiet drink as she had a difficult day.. when we arrived it looked very busy but we were found a quiet corner very quickly and we were looked after very well! years ago I left a bad review...but they have exceeded their limits and I recommend this place very much..
My recent experience at The Millstream was exceptional. Last week, my party enjoyed a delicious meal and a few drinks. Our waitress, a young girl with long blonde hair, was incredibly efficient and kind. Unfortunately, another table nearby had difficult customers who started causing a scene by shouting at a waitress. However, the manager handled the situation calmly. I must also commend the bartender, a young man with long brown hair in a side parting, who remained calm and collected during the ordeal, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and making us feel at ease. The burgers we ordered were cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Despite the disturbance, our evening was delightful, and we will definitely be returning in the future.
After the hustle and bustle of Christmas, I decided to go to a restaurant that has always been a favorite of mine. Unfortunately, the service was slow from the moment we arrived at the door until we placed our drink order. They were running a special on cocktails, but when we received the bill, we were charged full price for all drinks. After bringing this to their attention, they adjusted the bill, but it made us wonder how many others had been overcharged without noticing. The starters were also slow to arrive, and the prawn cocktail was disappointing, not meeting the usual standard. The chicken goujons were overcooked and dry. However, we tried to stay in the festive spirit and ordered the turkey with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The turkey was excellent and the roast potatoes were very tasty, but the vegetables were lacking. Only two slices of carrot, overcooked Brussels sprouts, and soft broccoli were served. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. This was the first time I left the Millstream feeling let down after many previous enjoyable visits. I hope this was just an exception and possibly due to temporary staff over the busy Christmas period. With the restaurant at full capacity, there was no excuse for the slow service, subpar food quality, or overcharging on drinks.
Normally have nothing to complain about but this visit was very different There was of us , lovely girl took our drinks order and delivered our starters, from here all went downhill, we had ordered main so when table was cleared from starters, we...waited an absolute age for dinner when we enquired how much long for our meal, a young girl told us she was dealing with a big order from a Xmas party table and would get ours when that was done, we were in well before the big group, had to catch someone’s eye to get another bottle of wine, eventually we got dinner not the bet I’ve had at Millstream but ate it it, right no one came to ask if meals were OK, everyone still running round after big table, managed to catch someone’s eye to clear our table, we then had to after a while ask for desert menu, but no one came back to see what we want, caught someone’s eye for bill. Paid that and left.
