Bidrage med feedbackWas here with my mum tonight, food was amazing. We ran out of time and they were more than happy to give us a takeaway, nothing was too much bother. We will definitely be back!
I recently visited Li Li's with three of my coworkers, two of whom had not been there before. We were welcomed by two very friendly and informative waiters who explained how the all-you-can-eat menu worked. What sets Li Li's apart from other buffet restaurants is that all menu items are cooked to order, rather than being left out in communal containers. With a selection of around 20 starters and 30 main dishes to choose from, we were impressed by the variety. The food was hot, fresh, and perfectly crispy. The beef in black bean sauce was outstanding, and the chicken strips in salt and chili were incredibly delicious. At £12.50 per person and BYOB, it was excellent value for money. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes worth trying. Overall, this meal was top-notch, and one of the best I've had in a Chinese restaurant. The flavors were just right, with fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. The only downside was that the restaurant was a bit cold inside (no central heating) and the decor could use a refresh. However, the fantastic food and great value outweighed these minor issues. I highly recommend giving Li Li's a try - you might be pleasantly surprised.
Went to Li Li 's Saturday evening, 2 adults and 2 children. Arrived at 6pm leaving at 9pm. Service was abysmal. The restaurant wasn 't terribly busy although 16 men did arrive in a good bit after us. They received their Mains well before we did. We waited 35 minutes for our main course. Two of my companions ordered Chicken Noodle Soup. One of them has eaten this soup regularly at other Chinese restaurants and was horrified to find her soup filled with cabbage!! You had to hunt for for the chicken and noodles. My grand daughter lifted out a pieceof cabbage that was about 4 inches x 5 inches out of her bowl. It looked disgusting and that was only one of the pieces! When we complained we were told that every Chinese makes their soup differently but they should have called it Cabbage Soup as it contained very little else. Will not be back . Visit the Marerosa in Abbey St, brilliant 3 course meal without wine for £9 or with a glass of wine for £11. Beautiful food but had been 2 times in the past 2 weeks and thought we would try somewhere else for a change. Big mistake. The Manager was very nice and apologised and kept saying Is there anything we can do for you . After she said it twice, I thought well if you don 't ask you don 't get so I asked if we could be given some discount. After a discussion with the chef we were not charged for the 2 children 's meals but to be honest I think it will be some time before we have a Chinese again, as we have been totally put off.
I ordered duck and pancakes which as everyone knows is served with cucumber and spring onions. When I got my delivery it was cucumber and raw sliced white onion. I rang to complain and the chef told me they serve it that way all the time because they have no spring onions! I told the girl I wanted a refund and they could collect the food but she said there were no managers on duty so the chef was in charge he said no refund because we serve it all the time with raw white onion. JOKE of a place never again! Don’t order from here!
We love it here! Food is excellent, never disappointed and staff are amazing! We were in tonight and everything was great as usual our waiter Jonny was so good with our kids especially our 3 year old son who was tired so we were worried he wouldn't sit through the meal but Jonny made the experience fun and enjoyable! Highly recommend!
