Bidrage med feedbackA warm and friendly pub with wonderful history. Hearty and tasty food; good beer; professional staff; and efficient service. We went as a family, with our dog, on a particularly windswept evening and had an excellent meal. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. We decided to participate in the weekly quiz while on vacation, and it was the best quiz night we've experienced in a long time. The host, who was also the landlord, did an amazing job with his presentation. The restaurant was bustling with customers, and we were lucky to have booked the last available table. There is a small fee to enter the quiz, but the proceeds go to local organizations in Ilfracombe. Great job, guys - we thoroughly enjoyed it!
I had a delicious steak pie with mashed peas at a dog-friendly pub that doesn't have any loud TVs blaring. They offer a variety of ciders to choose from and the service was quite fast.
Last minute decision to have a Sunday lunch so called in on the off chance. There was only Sunday lunch being offered but that suited us fine. Meal arrived and was hot and piled high with veg, a few roast potatoes, 2 large slices of lamb and a Yorkshire pudding !
My wife and I found this dog friendly pub after a lot of searching as it didn 't appear on Google Maps. We had to pay £1.50 in the nearby council car park as it was only 7:30pm. We found a table quite easily for a Sunday evening, and fortunately, food was being served. I can 't recall exactly what we had as I wasn 't given an itemised bill; just a VISA receipt. We shared a starter, my wife had the burger chips but didn 't finish it, and I had the pork and did, so had jam sponge dessert one of only 4, all of which were stodgy .
