Bidrage med feedbackI love the name of the place, if your wounding how it pronounced, it?s your-o hero. As you can see the food is good!! I was never the biggest fan of Greek food but my mind is definitely changed after coming here. You can just tell that it?s authentic because it?s authentic. Prices are good, I would definitely recommend coming here.
They're definitely my heroes when I'm craving a gyro. As far as Norman goes, they're far and away my favorite gyro place in the city. The gyro meat is cooked to perfection; it is never dry as far as I've noticed, and has a nice crunch that compliments the juiciness. Their house gyro sauce is very creamy and compliments the meat and toppings very well. Also, if you order the fries with the sandwich it comes with a spiced sauce that pairs well with the meal. Overall, I can't recommend this place more if you're in the mood for a delicious gyro meal.
Food is excellent. The problem is the heat is the worst I?ve ever experienced inside a restaurant. The temperature had to be over 100 degrees in the dining area. The heat made it unbearable and ruined the dining experience even with the excellent food. I can?t imagine how hot it is the kitchen for the workers!
This place was pretty good and well priced. You get quite a bit of food! The pita with my order was a little dry but the one I ordered extra was better. The hummus isn't bad but could use more flavor and the salad dressing really had no flavor (just tasted like oil). The wontons looked overcooked but were AMAZING! I've never had the falafel before but they were really really good- crunchy and great flavor!
After moving here from Florida, I searched everywhere for a great gyro, and OMG, let me tell you these guys have got it figured out. The pita was perfectly grilled, the meat with just the right amount of tomatoes and onions, add the sauce and it was perfection.
