Portillo's Hot Dogs - Normal

All the hype all these years and it was worth it!! So funny and good! Service staff was very friendly and helpful for us first timer. Place was clean, the dining room immaculate and the toilets were also in store and clean! Menu was big, but simple. So many decisions. Unfortunately, during our visit the shaker did not work and we heard how amazing the shakes were. Our group has the double cheeseburger, the Italian meat sandwich, Chicago dog, chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake and drinks. Look what you want! Fed a group of 10 for $115 and we don't order light. The prices were good. Many and many seats in other rooms.

Great culinary experience in one of the coolest decorated restaurants. The decor is that from the Roaring 20s and 30s period in Chicago and there are many characters, pictures and decor that represent this area, including a vintage, classic car hanging from the ceiling. The food is very good, the Chicago style hot dogs and chocolate cakes are popular!

I was recommended by a friend to check out this place while in Illinois... omg talk about a great place to eat. They were literally making fresh Strawberry Shortcake while I was ordering. The bread is so fresh. I had 2 cheese dogs (I'm not supposed to tell anyone I added ketchup apparently people from Chicago will get upset if they know you put ketchup on Hot Dogs? The employees there are all extremely helpful. Stop here if you are in Normal just like I am for the week ?.

Awesome atmosphere, fast service and great food. Get the Italian beef sandwich with cheese and hot peppers. Don?t forget the chocolate cake shake or just a slice for desert.

It was very good. I felt like we just missed the rush. Was there at 6:30pm, they were cleaning up tables and over flowing trash. We had a table to sit at. When called to get food, a drink was missing. But was quickly corrected with a smile. The food was good as always.
