First time in, had a a quick beer. The Better Together is quite good. Perfect weekend day-drinking type with an easy finish.The whole establishment has what I'd call a upscale-casual feel. Very Southern Carolina feel to it.The food ALL looked good and what seems like healthy portion. So, back I will come to try the menu.

Very good! First time trying this place. I got the pulled pork sandwhich and my husband got the 1/4 meat platter. Mac and cheese was yummy! A bit pricey but would eat again!

Grim. Despite there being no customers we were not made to feel welcome. No atmosphere. Staff couldn’t wait to get rid of us. Won’t be returning.

There is a bit of self service about BMB. The fresh live brews on tap, alongside with the BBQ that presents it's undeniable smoke aroma hint throughout the sipping quarters are ordered from the same station. So you will not be met with a hostess or sat for the wait for a server. The BBQ is real. Obviously, an abundance of grilling passion goes into this product. Complimented with tasty sides, everything taste well made They have a great stock of their brews canned, and support a great cause.

Woah. Made a trip to Virginia well worth it. Wife and I took a trip to see her best friend in Norfolk. On our agenda was watching the Air Show and to cruise around and enjoy a brewery or two. I thought the Air Show was going to be the highlight of our trip, but the Bold Mariner was hands-down the best part. The Bold Mariner was one of the last things we did on our trip and I 'm so glad it was. Really punctuated our trip in the best way. We had visited two other breweries that really didn 't impress. Not only was the beer here exceptional, but the BBQ was also incredible. The brisket here was the best I 've ever had. I 'm no stranger to BBQ places, but their brisket was just in another league. The sides were also great; we enjoyed some mac and cheese (that was great) and some green beans (also great) to pretend like we 're balancing things out with something healthy. One thing of note, they had this neat game on some of the tables. I wasn 't sure what it was, so I googled it. It 's called Close the Box . Neat game. Although we didn 't get to play, seemed like the perfect fun table game for 2-4 people. The Bold Mariner offers some of the best BBQ you 'll ever have, some of the best beer locally, in a chill atmosphere. If you 're in the area, it 's a must-stop place and I can 't wait to return.
