Bidrage med feedbackFrom the outside rather inconspicuous, from the inside good ambience. Good Italian without pizza. The service has some air up.
Beautiful ambience, good food and Il Capitano plays guitar in the late evening
So, in May, I got a second start. The menu has not yet been made new, but this should be lt. Statement by the new operator to the autumn. The pizza I had this time was much better than the first attempt. Service and drinks were also unanimous this time. If I hadn't got the tip that the Roma was under new leadership, I wouldn't have come a second time. He was quite perplexed about my statement. It remains to be hoped that on the new menu there is finally more pasta and pizza, and above all without this unspeakable Ruccula, which is called on every second pizza as a covering.
To say it immediately: the predecessors who, almost 40 years, first operated the Roma in the Men's Trail today Michelangelo and later the Vecchio Roma in the same place, laid the latte very high for their successors and they ran loosely below it! We had a reservation for 8:00. Since we spontaneously decided to try out the place, nothing had to be done before. Actually, it was too late for us, but as we wanted to look for a new, good pizzaria on Norderney, we did it. First impression: nicely furnished, cozy in beige brown tones kept furnishings, but the lighting was a little funky. Then the view of the menus that were on the square. Were we landing at Pizza Hut? These were in a transverse format, with the upper half passing through photos. Also noticeable: only very few noodle dishes and salads on the map and at the pizzas almost always Ruccola and Parmesan as a covering. The drinks were asked directly, without having been able to properly check out what there were wines. An Italian white wine, which was served open, I couldn't find and decided a Pinot Blanc. My daughter ordered a water, my husband ordered a big pils. The wine had so much acidity that I would have preferred to stand it and the great Pils of my husband was served in a wheat beer glass. I didn't think so. We dispensed with an appetizer due to the time. I ordered a pizza with sharp salami, gogonzola and spinach, a pizza with turkey breast strips, cherry tomatoes, Parmesan and Ruccula my husband as well as turkey carvings with herbs and rosemary spices daughter. The pizzas came quite fast, but the turkey carvings were waiting for themselves. These were then brought by boss, with the comment that the first would have become too dark, so that the order had to be made new. I sliced the pizza and, by default, tried the dough at the edge without a coating. Conclusion: there was definitely no salt. The taste came exclusively from the coating, which was absolutely taste-neutral in my husband's pizza. The turkey carving was also not to taste as such. Could have been pigs, too, very dry. The sauce was a zero eight-fivete finished product, and the rosemary apples were ripped off as furskins, which had been bestowed with a little rosemary. All in all, a total waste! The restaurant seems to be only able to bear by name at the moment, as many holidaymakers are still connected to the predecessor. 2 things I noticed: 1. While many guests and Norderneyers have brought a lot of food out of the house or stood for a table, this was no longer the case. 2. The boss made me a rather careless impression. Dress up in a slabber look and the very stubborn blonde hair tied together to a neat braid. Make no good impression
Great evening in a great atmosphere. The service staff was quick and very friendly. The dishes were very tasty and costly full within the frame. The wine was also delicious. We'll be back.
