Oasi - NOGAROLE ROCCA

On my way to Tuscany I got hungry and just took the first turn I saw. Close to the highway I found this family restaurant, very friendly people and good food. They specialize in risotto, but I felt like pasta for lunch, which was very good. My dog was more then welcome to join me inside : .

Looking for somewhere to eat, early afternoon on a Sunday, we decided to leave the Autostrada at Nogarole Rocca. Immediately we saw a sign for Ristorante Oasi. Normally you wouldn't notice this place but when you are hungry you look more carefully. This is a typical Italian country restaurant, big room, lots of tables all set, television running and eager waiters and waitresses ready to tell you what's on offer. Maybe you have to understand a little bit of Italian but even I can manage Risotto Maiale, Insalata Mista, Vino Rosso or Vino Bianco. Dessert was also easy because we could go and look at it. Chocolate Salami and a Cafe. Very friendly and helpful people and a super atmosphere. By the time we had got our main course, the restaurant was nearly full. A very good experience. To be strongly recommended for people interested in food and not show.
