Bidrage med feedbackWe had an exquisite dinner: two excellent appetizers followed an excellent linguine aux coques (vongole) and wonderful smoked salmon with fried aubergines. accompanied by a delicious and well-priced rosé. and then a beautiful desert. and all that in this fantastic, hidden inside courtyard, what a divine place to eat!
A quiet Sunday night, world cup raging and our last meal in Nimes (have been here over a week). This was undoubtedly the best meal we've had A littlr expensive, yes, but worth every euro. So many of the restaurants in the area serve the...same thing such as beef or veal in a heavy sauce. Here there is a light touch in the kitchen, and a use of different spices saffron, cumin and coriander. The stuffed sardines were delicious, as was the chicken in saffron and lemon. Friendly service, good wine list and a perfect night for garden dining
We were drawn into the lovely looking, verdant courtyard of the restaurant. The waitress had a big smile and relaxed demeanour. The menu is simple but looked pricey considering this. A reasonable bottle of rose, but nearly €50 did eventually arrive, and some time later...the water that we had to chase up. When the food arrived it was simple, well presented and delicious. Only issue was the mean portions, especially the Calarmari main, which I have seen far larger starters elsewhere. The restaurant got busy and the overly relaxed waitress and owner? wafted between tables but left our emptied plates on the table for 15 mins before I asked for the bill. Then 10 mins later asked again, then 10 mins later walked up to the bar and insisted that I pay there and then, with the plates never getting cleared. Dreamy to the point of ethereal service and poor value for money.. a shame as the location was nice and the cooking competent, if meagre portions
Drawn in by the location a quiet side street and a big gate concealing a beautiful courtyard overhung with vines, trees and a feeling of decadence. A kind welcome even though we were pulling a 3 year old behind us. A shared starter of...grilled artichokes and Serrano ham was accompanied by a perfect bottle of Château Sainte Marguerite rosé. The main of slow cooked lamb leg (a point) served with baked potato quarters and cherry tomatoes was sublime. Dessert of violet ice cream and fondant chocolate was the perfect end. Service was good and not insistent. Location second to none and the memories will last.
A 5-/5 dining experience in this romantic restaurant. the hof is illuminated with candles and offers a beautiful ambiente with a dramatic flur tastefully decorated. we had razor clams and seabass carpaccio. I didn't want it to end. the friendly service had us for. another bottle of wine to stay with the delicious chocolate mousse dessert. amazing place, excellent meal.
