Bidrage med feedbackI think it's a relatively new restaurant in the area here serving Spanish and other European food. We started with the Sangria (which they recommended) and it was a good beginning. Also the food tastes quiet yummy.
NEW RESTO FIND ALERT! I love discovering restaurants away from the family 's usual haunts read malls). The weekend exercise of bonding together over food is getting to be increasingly predictable. So exploring the 'unknown ' outside our comfort zone is quite exciting. An invite two Thursdays ago at the quiet side of Poblacion was something this foodie mom of the piggery looked forward to...
Braised lamb Tender and flavorful as expected. But it's surprising that the lamb has no aftertaste. It's either they've done a really good job with their lamb prep or they used beef instead. Im very sus about the meat.. Tagliatelle ragu 3.5 I liked the taste of the meat sauce, it was light and subtle. But it could just be a matter of preference. Spinach ravioli Sorry to say but this one is unbelievably bad. The spinach tasted like basil and there was barely ricotta in it. It just tasted like medicinal leaves in ravioli pasta. And the serving was too small. Place 3 Spacious and homey with its converted home structure. The rattan like decor was a little offputting tho considering it's an italian resto. Price Way overpriced IMO. Especially with the small servings that we remained hungry when we left. They don't even offer complimentary bread for starters. Service 2.5 Servers were respectful and cordial. But im disappointed with the restaurant management. They had about 5 items per category yet a lot were unavailable considering we were the first customers on a sunday during lunchtime. They posted their special as lengua estofado but twas no longer available when i ordered it.
More and more food establishments continue to open in Makati's Poblacion. I noticed that residences become commercial spaces in the hopes of capitalizing the popularity of this area. Last night, I had my Zonta meeting here. La Collina hosts quite a space with two sizable floors. They even have a private room that can host up to 20 people. They offer a mix of classic plates of Spanish and Italian cuisine. At night they transform into a more energetic location with their bar lead by a well-known barista. On this visit, I got to indulge in quite a lot of dishes. For starters, I had the Bruschetta Assorted of Eggplant Caviar, Artichoke Dip, and Wild Mushrooms. I liked that the bread was crisp and the toppings were aplenty. It's a good deal for Php 260 for 8 kinds. We also shared a serving of Croquettes. This is not on the current menu, so I suggest you ask for this delicious starter. For mains, our group got two kinds of familiar carbs. We had the original Carbonara using eggs and not cream plus the well-made, savory Paella Mixta. These two, according to them are their current best-selling items. And I understood why right away on my very first bite. La Collina is located at 4558 Molina Corner Quintos Street, Poblacion, Makati City. Note that parking here will be a chore but worth visiting.
One of my new fave places, thank you so much to Ms Anita and the staff for being so lovely food and drinks (omg the white sangria!! were sooo good! will definitely come back
