In April, we ate in the inner room, the terrace was full. The table service was poor, and ill-intentioned. They forgot to bring one of the dishes, a salad, which arrived, after drawing attention to it, when we had already received the main course. The bad intention came from a waiter when we ordered drinks: a bottle of wine and water; Specifically, we ask for a jug of tap water -in Spain there is a new legislation that obliges restaurants to serve tap water, at no additional cost-; the waiter told us that it was not possible because the water in the town was not drinkable; we were surprised by the answer, but we did not discuss it; when we were leaving we asked at the bar counter if that was true, and the one who seemed to be the bar manager told us no, that the water was drinkable... When I explained the situation to her, she made fun of me, trying to excuse the behavior of the waiter for being a novice; By the way, two locals who were at the bar, probably a bit drunk, spontaneously joined in on the manager's joke. It is clearly not a way to treat customers, and all to earn a few euros more for the disproportionate price they charge for bottled water. As for the food, the portions were rather small, and the prices high for such portions. Despite the extraordinary geographical setting, I would not recommend eating at this place to anyone.
We haven't eaten at this restaurant for a while now but we do try to go for a drink there as the setting is really really beautiful. The drinks are really lovely and it's so totally relaxing there. However we find that every time we go the people aren't that friendly as they are in the other restaurants and bars in isleta which spoils this for us. Although there was one very lovely young man who served us our drink this time. We will always continue to go and maybe on our next visit we will have a meal There to give our final verdict. I would love to see the staff smiling there on our next visit. Such a wonderful setting and so relaxing.
The reservation was a mess. They confused names and tables. When we finally got a table, the waiter was not very good explaining what dishes they had. It was not a language issue, as I speak fluent Spanish. We asked gluten-free and he did not seem to take it seriously. He then took us varies fish grill cooked with wheat flour. No comment. No wine card. No gluten-free beer, of course. He seemed to forget us for dessert and finally I went to pay myself, as he did not even come with the bill. All in all a very poor service and a so-so food. First and last time.
Great location by the sea. We came for drinks but I would love to eat here as the fish looked amazing. Friendly service.
