Trattoria Carnezzeria La Chianina

Cold and overpriced! We ordered a medium-rare Florentine steak for two, which was priced at 55 euros per kilo. The waiter did not show the cut they picked for us, or mentioned the weight. When the steak was served, it turned out cold in the middle. The steak was sent back to the kitchen, and returned warm. However, it was a complete mess, because it was already completely cut at our table. At that point, we already lost our enjoyment for the meal. The worst part was yet to happen: they claimed it was 1.7 kilo, and charged 93 euros for the steak! Anyhow, we believe 1.7 kilo is ridiculous for two people! After complaining, the staff ignored us (they seemed to give up). Also, the owner (or head waiter, in white shirt) never came to address the situation. In the end we proposed to pay for 1.3 kilo and left disappointed and angry. An apology and a decent treatment would definitely have made a difference.

Everything was excellent. The place to go if you like meat.

We came here following the good reviews, but stuff unprepared and overpriced meals. Not worth the trip to this place. Once served, we needed to bring back two times our meal as the meat was rare rather than medium. At the end, they brought us a burnt meat. We just gave it up.

Ambiente accogliente, servizio eccellente e cibo di qualità. Forse unica pecca non ho trovato carne equina. Lo consiglio.

Dopo tanto non tornavo alla Chianina. Locale rimodernato, personale molto gentile... Vasta carta dei vini e tanta ottima carne... Molto buona la tartare e presentata molto bene...
