We had the best Coq au vin there few weeks ago. Julie was the one taking our order and we got to chat with her a little afterwards (she is great! . She was very tentative and asked if there is anything we don't eat when taking our order. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a good night out in old town.
We popped into this bar as it was across the street from our hotel very welcoming and helpful staff and we would have stayed longer if we hadn't booked the Mon Petit Cafe for dinner. The staff were in out of this restaurant so they are obviously partnered in some way so I guess the food must be good too!
We were staying at a hotel nearby and as we passed we heard love music coming from this little wine bar so decided to stop in. Full of locals, non touristy, it was an absolute gem and Julie is the most wonderful hostess. Delicious food they serve light dishes and of course wine. We went back twice during our trip! Highly recommended if you want somewhere off the main tourist drag. We can't wait to go back to Nice and visit again.
My family and I 4 adults had to book into the Holiday inn courtesy of EasyJet having technical problems. When we finally got to the hotel and checked in their bar was closed, so after a 2 minute walk we came upon Chez Julie, it was a warm evening and the proprietor moved seats outside with a table and we enjoyed and couple of sundowners and a chat about our delay. Such a pleasant atmosphere and friendly management.
