Korean Garden - Niagara Falls

Located at the end of the street past the hotels, we decided to try the wines from the monastery before heading to this restaurant for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot and flavorful dishes such as pork bulgogi, belly, chicken teriyaki, and other items we tried with friends. We were impressed and will definitely be returning in the future. It is now on our list of must-visit restaurants for next time.

I would give this restaurant a 2 out of 5 for their taste - okay, but not very flavorful. The prices are a bit high considering the portion sizes. The service was terrible - we were left sitting for 5 minutes without anyone handing us a menu, asking for our order, or providing any information until we had to request a menu ourselves. We asked for water, but never received any. There was a fly near our table and a spider with its web next to the window. When we asked for the bill, we were given one with duplicate charges. When we were ready to pay with a credit card, we were ignored for more than 10 minutes until we had to go to the cashier ourselves. They also added a mandatory 15% tip, which I didn't think was warranted. Overall, a bad experience. I would not recommend this place.

The service is great and the food is delicious. There are plenty of choices and accompaniments. The restaurant is spacious with a wide selection on the menu. The prices are high but the dishes are unique and worth trying.

It was our 3rd day at Niagara Falls and we were craving Korean food. There were a couple of options closer to our hotel but we decided on Korean Garden. It's not much to look at on the inside or outside but the food was OK. I ordered the soon tofu stew which came with a bowl of rice. It had good flavour. My wife ordered naengmyun cold buckwheat noodles which is not shown on the menu $16). One of my kids had ddokboggi spicy rice cakes and they were soft, chewy, and tender. My son had the donkatsu which was crispy and juicy. Yes the prices were higher than what Torontonians are used to but you have to keep in mind that all of Niagara's restaurant prices are inflated.

I was there with a few friends for dinner a couple of weeks ago. We ordered the budaejigae and jaeyuk bokum (spicy fried pork). We got only two side dishes, o-daeng and kimchi. The food was all MSG and tasted horrible. For those who have not tried Korean food, this restaurant does not represent the real taste of Korean food. And the exorbitant price! The cashier asked where we were from, probably thinking we were tourists who will never return. They don't need to worry, we never will.
