Bidrage med feedbackThis is some seriously tasty food, really fresh, really well cooked full of crunch and delightful flavours. Had it twice in a week, even the Vietnamese soft drinks are special. I have found you, I'm not letting go.
Thanh Binh is hands down the best Vietnamese food in Newtown. The starters are the highlight of the meal; the mains themselves are not as good. Also, there is a very limited selection of rice paper rolls that are already made (2 or 3 options). The majority of the rice paper rolls on the menu are DIY!
Stopped by for a late night meal. First time dining out eating Vietnamese in NSW. Similar but different to QLD Vietnamese dining but in a good way. Really enjoyed variety of meals. I liked also how the venue has big open windows at front. Will definitely visit again next time. Very nice staff.
The food here was good. Full of flavour, nice size servings, but not spectacular. We dined here with friends and had the #2 Banquet. The service was a little slow, but the kitchen was extreme quick. The atmosphere was nice with not many people in the restaurant on a Wednesday night.Would I go here again, yes for a nice meal, but would also try other places in Newtown.
A pleasant surprise. Went there a while ago and had some reasonably good memory, so yesterday we went again after seeing a movie down the road at Dendy's. Had two glasses of white Vrdelho to go with thei green papaya salad (optional with dried beef meat), bun cha (gf liked that best), and a scallop salad with Chinese cabbage (I liked that best). Al fresh and tasty, the bill coming out to a reasonable 72 dollars total. Service was ok. The ambience a bit Spartan but fine. So definitely will go there again. Maybe again after, or before, a movie or some such.
