Bidrage med feedbackThis phophony may not be a top chancellor in sydney, but it's the best I had in newtown. deep taste in the broth and bark meat that was not rare enough, but it was good bark and they give them a lot of it (see a larger than average pho overall). plus a friendly quiet place that opens for a simple brunch.
Good prices. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Walking distance from Sydney 's culture hubs Newtown and Redfern. Located right next to the University of Sydney popular with local students around lunch time. The pictures of the menu posted on the outside reminded me of when I visited Vietnam and all the foods were advertised everywhere outside the restaurants. I was a little saddened that the advertised Vietnamese iced coffee tasted more Australian than like the ca phe sua da I was used to.
Their grilled pork is fantastic, and you can have it with Vietnamese roll, rice paper rolls, vermicelli or rice. I had the grilled pork rice paper rolls and special pho beef noodle soup. You don 't have many choices of pho like other Vietnamese restaurants, but the soup is excellent, hot and helping to get through cold weather. My friend had spicy beef noodle soup. He said It kicks all my taste buds, clear my nose and helping me getting better from my flu after a slurp
Great place with a secure open area play ground for the kids to get lost in for at least a few hours. The restaurant is basic and the food has a healthy flavor with the advertising of everything organic. The menu is basic with a few options better to check the specials board that's where the variety is hidden. The service is relaxed and friendly a great place to call in if you have nothing else planned for the family.
We came to Dear Café on a Tuesday for lunch. I have been in the area for almost 4 years, but have never tried Dear Café, not expecting that such a small place has such high quality. It is one of the best pho I have ever had in Sydney - $13 is just a little bit expensive, but the portion is very good -- my friend could not finish her bowl.
