The Richard Hopkins - Newton Abbot

Atmosphere was nice and relaxed, but we came to eat. The food wasn't the best, and a swear the portion sizes have shrunk from what they used to be. There are better pubs in Newton Abbot.

Great price and atmosphere However NO FRIED BREAD with my large breakfast. When asked i was told they don't do it. Must be to hard for the chef to cook just like the toast 1 side black and the other side white).

Would've been higher but putting the delivery away slowly, one box at a time meant the cold breeze coming from the kitchen made everyone at the table cold. A better effort could have been made to speed this process and make sure customers were warmer. Other than that, good food and good beer

Been here in the past, no problem. However this time was different. Found one of only a few tables left, it was busy. Tables were a mess. A queue of over a dozen people for the bar, one person serving and after 5 minutes it hadn't moved. Gave up and left. A full pub at lunchtime and one person at the bar, ridiculous!
