Bidrage med feedbackJust had a joyful lunch with bunch of great ladies. Well looked after by the Carpenter's Arms. This pub is a gem of a typical little village pub and to top it off, the food was fab. Great menu. Thank you.
I absolutely love this pub. It ticks my personal pub-preference boxes! It's small and cosy with a lovely atmosphere. My brother argues it's a winter pub (and I can say I have had a lovely roast and pint there when escaping the cold), but I'd say it is an all-year rounder. Petite perfection if they were to rotate a few more guest ales on tap!
This place is a joy really. The Carpenter's Arms is quite small really, but it is big on warmth and atmosphere. I definitely recommend you try it, but, if you want food then you need to book in advance.
Booked a table for 4 for Sunday lunch via messenger, first time eating out for nearly 3 years, very friendly welcoming hosts, they chose us the perfect table. We all ordered the roast it was well worth the wait, freshly cooked plenty, no room for puddings much to some's disappointment! Great value for money. We will certainly be revisiting. Thank you Richard Yvonne, see you soon.
Sorry, I made a mistake with the stars system , I meant to give 5 stars not 3 stars. Iwent to the Carpenters on a weeknight; food couldn't fault. Landlady was very friendly, directed me to next to a woodburner on a cold night .They had another big open fire as well. Would definitely go again. We need to support to these pubs in these days.
