Tacos Mexico - Newport News

This place is pretty good. Didn’t expect it from the outside. That’s why you never judge a book by its cover. Best tortas are in Richmond. But this place come pretty damn close. I’ll definitely be back to try some other stuff out.

The food is very good.  I really appreciate the fairly traditional tacos.  However I am accustomed to the two tortilla tacos.  The pork (el pastor) and beef (asada) tacos were both great.  The creamy green sauce is very good. Tried some of the chicken quesadilla and it was also quite tasty.  The kids enjoyed their tacos and rice.  They are used to Taco Bell tacos but enjoyed it a lot.  I would recommend again and will likely return when I am in the Warwick/Bland area of Newport News.

Authentic Awesomeness. After numerous conversations with friends about all Mexican places seemingly being the same, I discovered Tacos Mexico. I drove by it every day for about a year and finally decided to stop in and this place is a new favorite. Real, authentic Mexican food at a good price with great service. I've been back multiple times now and all of their dishes are delicious and are not just generic Mexican dishes. If you're looking for Mexican in Newport News, this is the place to go.

Mexico in the US. This is Mexican food! Eating here brings back many memories of eating in Mom&Pop restaurants while on my various business trips to Mexico. I have no issues getting my Mexican colleagues to join me for a meal here and help translate the Mexican soap operas often playing on the televisions during lunch time. The horchata is a must to try!
