Olive Garden Italian - Newport News

The service was best moderate. it wasn't busy. However, the employees would always take our order over 15 minutes. we had dirty cuts. when we asked for a new set the host gave me plastikset. I asked about actual utensils and she came back with a fork in the hand. never get a set. overall very disappointing dinner. no manager or waiter checked us after eating.

Eating was very good as the atmosphere. we had the grilled cheese/breach sandwich. my companion felt that there was not enough cheese, but he enjoyed the selection of the beer on the hahn and the natural frits. I thought that sandwich was perfect. our server, andrew, was pleasant, attentive and offered various possibilities what we could try. would definitely return.

We arrived at 12:00, right after they opened to eat lunch.My experience with Olive Garden was excellent.Salad was great, bread sticks were great as well.I had soup and salad, Chicken Gnocchi Soup (cream of chicken ? with dumplings), had a second helping, it was good.Yes I recommend Olive Garden.Yes, I will go again.

We had date night and everything was delicious as usual. I ordered the Giant Stuffed Shells (w/o Marinara Sauce) and I added Grilled Chicken. My husband had the same meal except he kept the Marinara Sauce it comes with added Shrimp. I also ordered the Chicken Gnocchi Soup which is so good. My favorite soup. Our server was Gabriella it was her first night working. She did an amazing job. Great server. Very friendly.

Called ahead to check the wait time, hostess said 20-30 minutes. She took my name and number and said we would receive a text when our table was ready. After 30 minutes we went inside to check. The hostess said our name wasn't on the wait list and asked us who we spoke with. By the sound of her voice, she was the one I spoke with. We sat at the bar to wait, bartender didn't even acknowledge us. We were seated at a table after about 6 minutes. Our server promptly arrived, took our drink order and brought them back. My husband's sprite was out of syrup, it was just carbonated water. She brought him a new one. We ordered our food. She brought us our soups, breadsticks, and salad. The soup was luke warm, at best. We didn't have any forks to eat the salad, or napkins. The hostess didn't bring them with her when she sat us. I asked the server for forks and napkins. She brings us a drinking glass with 4 forks in 2 inches of hot water. I was pretty much over my experience here at this point. We got up, spoke with the manager about our experience, tried to pay for the food we did eat but, she said not to worry about it. Then we left.
