Mr. Boil Cajun Seafood Poke Bowl

We were there on a Monday for lunch, and it was quite dead. But the food was pretty good and our server was attentive. The place was smaller than I expected, and a bit more run down in some areas than I would have thought. Going to the restroom afforded me with views of the kitchen and storage areas that I wish I had not seen. It was fine, but just not as clean and orderly as I would like a place preparing my food.My daughter got a create your own poke bowl with salmon and I got a shrimp Poboy. Both were good.There was no parking in the small lots out front, but we found ample parking in the garage just behind the restaurant.

Online states that they don't close until 10pm. I arrive at approximately 815pm and the hostess seats me and informs me that a waitress will be with me soon. At the time I am seated, there are only 2 other people in the restaurant, who were already eating. Two waitresses are there and neither one of them came to take my order after seated for approximately 15 minutes. I promptly just got up and left. Terrible customer service, would NOT recommend to anyone.Found a nice sushi restaurant a block over, and the food there was fantastic.

My favorite sea boil spot in town. The shrimp is never over cooked. Very flavorful. The calamari is fried perfectly. And the drinks are deliciousFood: 5/5

Found this place randomly. Everything was absolutely amazing. It's hard to find good seafood boil spots nowadays because all of them seem to be generic. This one ????. The flavor was amazing on everything. Drinks were great. Service was wonderful. I will definitely be returning.Food: 5/5

I wanted to rate this higher because the young lady at the reception desk was so kind and helpful with suggestions for my take out order, but the food I received seriously degraded my rating. I created my own bowl as I normally do at a poke restaurant but here they have limited options, such as a lack of Sriracha...I know, odd right? Regardless, I paid an additional $1.50 for avocado to be added to my bowl, but what I received were two slivers of avocado...so small you could barely distinguish it from the slices of cucumber. The mango was minced pieces maybe 1/8 of an inch each piece. The seaweed salad lacked flavor...how do you have flavorless seaweed salad? The amount of salmon I received as my 3 portions had to have been portioned for a small family of ants because it certainly wasn 't enough for what I paid. Maybe their boils are good, maybe that 's why they have the rating they carry, but I cannot recommend coming here with food that is this bland and a price to portion ratio that is unfair to the customer. Do yourself a favor and drive over to a place that specializes in some fantastic Poke (change the order and put the words together and you 'll have the restaurant I recommend) and don 't waste your hard earned money here.
