Scratch Bakery Cafe - Newport Beach

Made a rare trip,to Fashion Island for a suit order. Since we were early wifey and I decided to grab a quick eat. Scratch Bakery Cafe was a great option. The bread for my egg and cheese is phenom. I say edits like a muffin from that place with a clown times ten. Light with a fine corn meal dusting, american cheese melting just right. Wifey had a spiced chai and almond croissant that she enjoyed tremendously and kept her satisfied until dinner time.

Best bakery we’ve ever come across. The cream cheese danish is just superb and the tiger claw will bring us back to Newport again. Not overly sweet and baked fresh daily onsite. Only critique is we don’t have one in our hometown.

I 'm giving five stars simply because of the kmock knock pastry. It 's their version of a ding dong. Get one and thank me later. ?

Scratch Bakery Cafe is a cute coffee shop in Fashion Island Shopping Mall that features hand made bakery items and fresh English Muffins. The staff were so busy but still took time to help each customer out. Their Monte Cristo Sandwich was very delicious, very warm and crispy. I loved the flavor with the maple syrup and the hash brown was so crispy... just perfect! I would definitely get this again. The Breakfast Sandwich was so big and fluffy! The English muffin was excellent. The bacon was flavorful and smoky and the eggs were fluffy and smooth. I was a big fan of the Iced Lavender Milk Tea was great as well; the lavender flavor was prominent and overall very tasty. Unpictured but the chocolate croissant was excellent! The chocolate quality was smooth and croissant was so crispy. Just the right amount of flakiness and sweetness. I really enjoyed my experience at Scratch! I look forward to my next visit.
