R+d Kitchen - Newport Beach

Hopping bar. But the hosts and hostesses kept giving us dirty looks for standing at the bar. We probably spent close to $3K on drinks across multiple hours (work event, with lots of ppl and 3 separate times at the bar), but they didn't care. If you go, sit at a table...otherwise they aren't very interested in good service.

What a nice surprise while walking after a day at the office.   I walked in and sat at the bar for a  quick bite.  Began with a great martini which was kept in a cold glass; even half way through,  the bartender brought a fresh frosty glass and poured the half drink in the fresh glass.   I had the French dip au juice and at my request was made quite lean without any fat.  Side of fries with spicy mayo was a nice touch.  While food and drink were quite nice,  I think what set this place apart was attention to detail.   Nicely done and thank you.

Enjoyed eating at R&D Kitchen. The food is always good here. I came here with my girlfriend for lunch. The servers was friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant likes accommodating small parties, table for 2 easily. There is always a crowd here. I ordered the Mediterranean Seared Tuna Salad which was fresh with wonderful flavors. Loved the salad too with beautiful presentation of colorful vegetables.

Excellent food and service. Great place to eat out and unwind. In my opinion, if you are in the area, this is the best of the best when it comes to OC restaurants. It is the cleanest and most consistent when it comes to excellent customer service and food quality. It really doesn't get better than this. I dare you to give it a try and experience what a restaurant is all about.

Although I didn't care much for my chicken sandwich, the service was great, and the atmosphere was nice. I always recommend the deviled eggs and meatloaf, which is now served after 4 pm.
