Bidrage med feedbackSat at the bar, with full dinner service. Mussels were amazing. Hummus dish good for two to share. I’ve creams off the chart. All of the pales to the quality of the cocktails. ONG. Try the Negroni even if you’re not a fan, it will convert you.
We were seated quickly on a Friday. The dreamsicle cocktail ? intrigued me. There is no orange in the mix, and instead used a combo of cherry and lime. It tasted like an orange dreamsicle and the ingredients at the same time. I would recommend it.I enjoyed some seafood with lobster and corn fritters followed by the moules frites. The frites stole the show for me. They were the right blend of crispy and saltiness. The mussels and fritters were good as well. The frites had little chunks of lobster. The musselsOn the land loving end, the French onion had a rich broth and a good balance of onions, bread and cheese. The steak and frites were good.
Average sized restaurant, on the larger side for this area. Reservations where available and we could have probably walked in and had been seated. This was a Sunday night on father's day. Nice ambiance as you would see from the photos. Food was a mixed review for me. The dis run out of Steak and Meatballs, so maybe this was a good sign that they are making food fresh. For apps I had Lobster Corn Fritters and as a lobster fan I decided after tasting that lobster has no place in a corn fritters, kind of bland and a waste of lobster. Had some small oysters and they were delicious. My girlfriend had the beet salad with goat cheese and loved it. For my main course I had Lobster, corn, and roasted tomato salad.. This was a nice dish, light and tasty and all the ingredients compliment each other. My only gripe was the price of $48. For about 4oz of lobster. Overall ok experience. Not sure I would come back with all the other options available in the Newport Area.
Stoneacre has a very chill, European vibe which was fun. We were a huge party and sat by open windows which was breezy and comfortable. We had an excellent waitress who was very attentive and speedy delivering our requests. The menu was very limited. I had the lobster roll from the lunch menu which was totally disappointing. Tiny diced pieces of lobster mixed with tons of celery on a hard bun and a slimy salad. Unacceptable for over $30. Go for the atmosphere and the fun brunch drinks not the food.
We got the worst salad nicoise ever the tuna was dry and tasteless, but smelly. The eggs were not fresh boiled. The salad was not crisp and fresh and everything was drowned in a sour vinaigrette dressing. It was not worth 28 dollars. We complained and got a feee coffee.
