Montaz - Newmarket

To have an Indian Restaurant of this calibre on your doorstep is wonderful. Menu varied with some unusual twists. Food excellent and good value. Have eaten here several times and each time is as good as the last.

The Montaz was recommended by a friend who eats there regularly and none of us were disappointed. Easily the best Indian food I've had in Newmarket or Cambridge, each dish we had was fragrant and beautifully spiced, the lamb biryani was outstanding and the panir and chana veggie options were also excellent. We also enjoyed the ginger and honey naan, I'd pick this over peshwari next time. We had friendly helpful service and were given lots of advice on how much to order. We'll definitely go back a fantastic alternative to the usual work Christmas lunch!

I have eaten at many Indian retuarants over the years including some michelin starred ones in London and other capitals of the world. I have to say, this one ranks in my top 2!
