This cafe has been on my list for years! I live fairly close by, and the fact I had never been definitely didn't sit well with me. For a lazy Sunday brunch we headed to the wharf, and ordered the corn fritters along with the vegetable frittata. We also ordered some iced tea and a fresh smoothie too. First thing, the serving sizes are quite substantial! We really struggled to finish the fritters. The fritters were quite tasty and the greens certainly lightened up the otherwise heavy corn fritter itself. The smoothie was fresh though a little sweet for my liking. I also wished they had house iced teas but really not a major issue. The frittata was tasty and well seasoned, and the sweet potato chips were a wonderful accompaniment to them too. The salad was average but still went well with the warm frittata. Service here is friendly and the food was brought out to us quite quickly too. The spot is really quite nice and there is a lovely walk around the cafe too. It's quaint and fairly quiet which is great for a lazy brunch :
Nice restaurant in one of Sydney's best parks. Very kiddie friendly and lots of gluten free options if you need them. Can't beat the corn fritters. Only criticism is the outdoors area isn't great if it's wet which cuts down their tables a bit. That being said they can handle a big service pretty well.
I love this place. Sat by the window with a girl friend. I ordered the chilli prawn pasta, which was delectable. Fries were yum too, but they came out cold, so we had to ask them to reheat it up for us.<br/ <br/ The entire atmosphere and the park outside is just gorgeous for a lovely day outing.
It seems the food has definitely improved since the last time I've been here! Our schnitzel was moist and juicy, the outside was crispy, French toast was delicious, chips could have been better.. Service is is fast, waiters are friendly.. Pros: Great place for lunch on a sunny day, bike hire near by, on the river. Cons: Finding parking could be a little hard on weekends.
