Large old turn of the century pub is located in the area of the castle in the did keep between it and the curtain wall and right next to the bridge over.

Great pub from the tyne. good pub to go for a quiet drink and a chat. pleasant decor, relaxed atmosphere and never too busy. good pub duck is.

Came here for women until day, wanted to treat them something special and the bridge made it a very special meal. the suppe was fresh and delicious. my wife had the special, which was black medal with a tomatensalat 12.95, which was worth for money. the service was really frendly and helpful would definately recomend especailly if they want to treat this special someone or in my case in their good books.

I really enjoyed my experience there without having only two pints! what I would call a real life English pub, busy with local, expansive, has a lot of character, and a wonderful community ambiente!
