Bidrage med feedbackI have been a dedicated fan of Meat Stack since they were serving burgers at Bar 28 and the Quayside market under the name The Grind. From there, they moved to The Dog Parrot, the Grainger Market, and now have their own restaurant on Groat Market. Meat Stack has completely raised the bar for burgers for me. No other burger compares, and whenever I'm not in Newcastle, I find myself saying that it's good, but it's not Meat Stack. I never knew true happiness until I tried one of their burgers. My top recommendations are the Triple New Mexico or Lower East burgers, beef dripping fries, a pot of Carolina Gold sauce, and a Biscoff milkshake. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Forever a fan of Meat Stack. X
I went for breakfast and the food was excellent. While it may not be the healthiest option, sometimes you just need to indulge in something like the Meat Stack. I also enjoyed the rock music playing in the restaurant, it really added to the great atmosphere. The staff were fantastic, even going out of their way to find some pepper for my wife. I highly recommend this place.
I really enjoy the breakfasts at this restaurant, but they are only served until 10:30am, which is a shame because I would visit more often if they were available for longer. The rewards program is good, and I appreciate the easy tipping system when you pay with your card. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. The menu has a good selection of high-quality food, though I wish they had larger burgers. This place stands out from other burger joints because they offer a wider variety of tasty dishes. Located in the city center, parking can be tricky so be mindful of local regulations. The restaurant is conveniently close to public transportation, and outdoor dining options are available.
Food is lovely but the staff were miserable and really put a dampener on the experience. The girl behind the counter never smiled, said thank you and it seemed to be a lot of effort to help with parts of the menu.
I went looking for this place the previous night and got lost. Seems the Gods were feeling unkind and I ended up at 5 Guys. (Really sad really as full directions would be leave hotel, turn right, walk straight (avoiding obstacles) until you reach Meat:Stack) Then I tried again and I was *very* impressed with the place. It 's a burger joint with a (really kewel) 80s aracde machine to play for free. The incredibly helpful cashier informed me that they regularly change the game that is on the machine which makes it even more of a draw for me. Soft drinks were all bottomless to steal a phrase from another joint. Pepsi Max helps lubricate a burger going down. Their range of burgers seemed reasonable to me, not so many that ones eyes glaze over like so many coffee places these days. I went with fries and we happy to find it cheaper, notter and better tasting than other experiences in Newcastle. I rate this place as up there with some of the better Patty Bun burger places in London and Bosco in Dublin. What is rare is most wonderful
