Hugo's - Newcastle upon Tyne

This coffee and sandwich bar has just re-opened, I stopped by and they have a great selection of vegan meat substitutes and choice of vegan mozzarella and cheddar cheeses for sandwiches and paninis. Served with crisps and a salad for a very reasonable price £3-£6 depending on what you get), with great friendly service. It’s just a takeaway bar, although there are a couple of tables on the street, or a park nearby! There isn’t currently a separate vegan menu, but they’re just testing the water with which options are popular for now, and they are very helpful if you ask!

A hole in the wall with panini, salads and soup. You have vegan cheese wall meat substitute and food at incredibly good prices. Baked pptao was not far from the price of a coffee in Edinburgh. Beautiful things

Vegan options include panini, jacket potatoes, salad with vegan Mayo, folding jacket, oat milk for hot drinks. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Good value also a vegan cheese and chicken panini, salad box, crochets and juice came to £5

Just a short walk from the exhibition park, Hugo offers a good choice of vegan options despite its small size. I personally prefer it to the nearby Urban Green Café. During my visit I ordered a vegan pepperoni and cheese panini with craps (or salad) for just £3.95, which was delicious. Although only one takeout, there are some outdoor seats available, but my recommendation is to enjoy your order at the lake in the exhibition park what I did. The owner is very friendly and vegan also aware and if you plan a visit to the park or in the area, I would certainly recommend a visit here.
