Bidrage med feedbackI stopped by this restaurant during my lunch break because I heard they had delicious sandwiches and I wanted to support a local business. I was informed that they had a limited menu and decided to try the bacon and cheese toastie with chili jam. I also ordered a latte to go. The latte was barely warm and I finished it in just a few minutes. The toastie was very basic, using standard bread, and was served in a cardboard box. I found the total cost of £9.40 to be quite high, especially considering the amount of waste from the packaging. It was disappointing overall.
We ordered cheesy marmite beans on toast and bacon with scrambled eggs on toast. The food was tasty, but the service was lacking. They were unable to make a decent cup of coffee - our flat whites were ruined by burnt milk. The real disappointment, however, was the condition of the restaurant. It was absolutely filthy. It appeared to have not been cleaned in months, with dust everywhere, dead flies on the windowsill next to our table, and coffee stains on the windows. The toilets were moldy and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I shudder to think about the state of the kitchen, especially after eating there. If you do decide to go, make sure you're up to date on your vaccinations and plan to shower immediately afterwards.
I am fortunate to live near this wonderful cafe. The interior is cozy with charming quirks, offering a great selection of food and drinks. I have always been satisfied with the food, as the portions are generous and service is usually quick.
Just loved the Pea Kado on Sourdough….. never heard of Pea Kado before so was keen to try. Very yummy, very healthy kind to the environment a real winner. Had mine topped with halloumi my partner had crispy bacon. The menu is a little limited but suited me fine.
Absolutely loved our first visit everything about this lovely cosy cafe. Great welcome, excellent food drinks. Compliments to you all highly recommended
