I chose to come to Barluga for a Sunday dinner with my grandparents to celebrate my 21st birthday a few days early. Our server Abby was very attentive and was absolutely lovely. We each had 3 courses which was around £25.50pp and shared a bottle of pinot grigio. I had the classic mussels for starter, the beef roast dinner and a cheesecake for dessert which came with white chocolate lettering of Happy Birthday. Whole experience was great, we were all impressed and it's great value for money.

Had Sunday lunch here today with family. Food was nice and we were very lucky to be served by Abby. She was such a lovely girl and very attentive. Hope she’s still there on our next visit.

The terrace is gorgeous and we had a lovely round of drinks and snacks here on a rainy day. The servers were lovely, especially Sara our waitress!

Was in a hurry for the theatre…we came in and was greeted and offered a seat…said we would go to bar as time was of the essence…went to bar…nobody there…greeter nearly came over then a guy appeared carrying several bottles of wine so greeter backed off. Bad move! The guy with bottles was too busy to serve…time passed…a girl appeared and asked what we wanted…large rose wine and whiskey and rey ginger…”pepsi?” She said! Dry gingerI replied…”diet pepsi?” No ginger I said… “Sit down and Ill serve “ she said…we went to a table then decided to go back to bar…we were in a hurry!!! She was on the phone..”what??” She said, I said we needed to pay as were in a hurry…she then looked annoyed and pointed indicating she was on the phone…really??! She said we could pay at the table. I went to the loo..came back to find my wife had paid and I had a large whiskey an pepsi!!!!! Go figure! The rose was not right either! Couldnt spare the time to go and complain to staff that didnt seem to care less so we left the drinks and went to the theatre. We used to like this bar but wont be back…cost us £15for nothing except to find out we never want to go back…such a shame. Be warned…go elsewhere !
