Bidrage med feedbackI bought 60 oatcakes to bring back to Wales with me, as I freeze them. I have bought from many places before, but Castle Oatcakes was convenient for me while passing through Newcastle. I called ahead in the morning and they had them ready for me in a bag. I didn't check them before leaving, but when I got home, I found that half of them were burnt and some were smaller than usual. I won't be buying from there again.
Food was amazing .Loved every bit of the oatcakes . I will definitely be going back and will be recommending this place .
It is difficult to find traditional food like this. I used to think it was just a myth, but it's not. This restaurant is a real treat with great choices, fresh ingredients, and simply delicious dishes.
Called on 2/12/22 on recommendation shall not go again the oatcakes we’re small dry and burnt with black around the edges . Shall never return I brought one dozen and Saturday morning put six in the bin . I’d go as far to say these were the worse oatcakes I’ve eaten in thirty years .
Picked dozen oatcakes up yesterday for the first time ever. Very disappointed very dry and overcooked burnt in places. Won’t bother calling again !
