Daves Diner - Newcastle

Always relaxed cozy atmosphere. I tried almost everything on the menu, was never disappointed. All employees here are really hard workers and friendly. The place is clean, a lot of seating, and I mentioned that the food is also good. It is a small town diver, that is one of the best that the area has to offer!

Find good diners. Small town Diner offers comfort food at reasonable prices. The waitress is very attentive and the supplement was quick. Portions are generous with reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

It's a diner okay.. There is no mistake in this place to eat, the server was not glamorous, but she did the job. The service was friendly but minimal. The server said their best meals were the chicken steak and the catfish and they were right to the money. The catfish was delicious, not fishy. The green beans were really good and the white engraving on the chicken roast steak was just perfect. The amazing part, 6.95 for lunch!!! At this price for good food I will overlook the establishment and service. If a restaurant makeover show asked me what I would do here, I would do the decorations and the island theme and rent professional servers and managers. Keep the kitchen as it is... it rocks.

My husband and I ate Dave's Diner for the first time. We both had the western omelet. It was amazing! Our waitress stayed right on our drinks and the food came out quickly. It was the kind of restaurant we were looking for and we will definitely return.

We were just passing thru newcastle on our way to california looked up urbanspoon to find diners. we came acrossed daves diner. my husband didnt want to eat there becasue of the reviews. we were there around 9:30 am. And we greeted with a good morning and u all can sit any where u would like. we looked at the menu. while the waitress went to get us coffee. she came back with coffee and water was impressed because most places wont bring water with coffee and less u ask for it. we ask the waitress which was better sausage or bacon. she replied they both are good. i ordered sausage my husband ordered bacon.. when we received are plates the eggs were beautiful and it wasn't greasy. the waitress was right the do have good sausage but the bacon was awesome. actually both were the best i ever tasted. glad we didnt make our judgement on there reviews. because we would have missed out on a good breakfast
