Chimera Coffee - Newburg Corners

Great food and coffee. Had the Jalapeno cheddar scone. Nice and spicy! Also tried the peach muffin and it was equally delicious.

Coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had: strong, flavorful, and offering some fun experimental options. Baked goods vary from decent to disgusting. Do NOT get the vegan cookies.

I ordered a pour over and a decaf latte for my second drink. The pour over was made in the appropriate time for obnoxious coffee snobs like myself and the various notes of flavor were conveyed well and it was delicious. —The decaf latte with whole milk had some fun art and the balance of espresso and milk was sweet, creamy and not weak. —The ordering process was easy and my questions were treated with kindness and appreciation. I never felt like an inconvenience and that is a big plus. —The colors were average for a local cafe, and the I liked the display of local coffees, and merch that you could purchase to support Chimera. —I will be coming here again because it is local, convenient, and filled with delicious coffee!

This place has strong Pacific Northwest coffee shop vibes, making this Portland, Oregon transplant homesick for rain, bike lanes, and mountains. The espresso drinks are by far the best I have ever had in Maine and the cinnamon coffee cake hit the spot. Super friendly service, too. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Definitely worth a visit!

Solid choice for a very good cup of coffee downtown. Went here on a Thursday late afternoon, and it wasn’t too busy. Espresso drink was very good. Staff was friendly and efficient. Prices were reasonable. Definitely worth a visit, and I’ll be going back here when I need caffeine in Bangor.
