Blue Crab Grill - Newark

We have a great meal everytime we go it’s our celebration place!

The food was mediocre, we were only able to get branch or sandwich or salad. We went on a Sunday afternoon very few people were in there until 2pm when it turned in to a bar! Noisy band blared in your ear. I think they forgot it was Sunday and not Saturday night. We were there with friends and small children, we were not able to hear ourselves talk. The waitress was very polite but it was way over priced.

First time at Blue Crab Grill and it did not disappoint. The drinks and food were excellent. Our server was lovely, accommodating and personable. We forgot a set of keys and she checked to see if we came in o.n a reservation and called us immediately to let us l Le our keys were there. Above and beyond! We will be back for sure!

2 for Brunch: just ok. Mostly senior croud. Food: shrimp eggrolls tasted freezer burnt. crab bisque not thick at all. Very viscous, nothing but runny cream with a couple of pieces of crab thrown in it as an afterthought. eggs cheasapeake (supposed to be like a benedict but with a crab cake) the eggs were over cooked, they put a lemon hollandaise sauce instead of old bay hollandaise, and the potatoes on the were oily. mimosas delicious, but can not get a pitcher. When the server asked how everything was after neither of had eaten much of the food, she said she was sorry and offered a free dessert as a solution. We politely refused and asked for the check. While the dessert was a nice guesture, why would i want more bad food? If you are not picky, you will probably like this place. Nothing was terrible, just not up to my standard.

We came for a hockey event then found this restaurant. We wanted to order blue crab but we were tricked by the name as they didn’t have blue crab at all. However the soft crab was amazing taste. My wife and children all like it very much! Service is very nice and kind. Highly recommend
