El Criollo - Newark

VEry Nice place, A friend recommended the place stating that it was the absolute best restuarant in North Newark. Only 10 min from Newark Liberty Airport (5 hour layover)we decided to go there What an experiance Very good Latin Food (not mexican at all) It was a Fusicon of Puerto Rican dishes 7 peruvian seafood. We were a party of 5 we all had a few Coronas at a full meal all for less than $40.00 unbelvable the music in the place made it a very exiting time for us before the long flight back home.

Newly renovated restaurant and lounge that is part of the night life in the city of Newark and its history. A wonderful place with the best atmosphere for social events, private events and concerts…a nice Latino restaurant with a great selection of cocktails and liquors…with a huge patio that will open soon for all events…IT HAS ITS OWN HUGE PARKING LOT, WITH LOTS OF PARKING.

If I could give zero stars I would, but I can't, they advertise events and don't deliver what they promise, I don't recommend this place to anyone unless you want to waste your money by only listening to background music when you paid for a supposed show, do it...

Came to a concert. Paid almost $500 for a “VIP table”. They set up the table last minute had me waiting 30 minutes to sit, and another 30 minutes to order service. There was no organization, our views were blocked, and the people in charge really don’t care. Save your money and go somewhere else. It’s a shame how they handle their business. Won’t ever go back.
