Great Wall - Newark and Sherwood

Sorry to say food was sub standard, cold chips, chewy duck and not great sauce. After seeing the other reviews I was hopeful, but alas very poor.

Only had takeaway food from here when staying at Milestones Caravan Site,but always been very tasty great choices on the menu ,only negative was they didn't show the menu on there website.

Was a regular customer once aweek take away night but never again ordered at 7:10 rang up at 8:35 told that they just cooking it now and then tried to say we didn't order till 8 ish also it was difficult to get to our house we live 2 mile away they never struggled on any of the other occasions was more mad that they tried to blame us never again your loss must be doing well if you don't need regular local customers

Had a take from here last Wednesday night. All I can say is anyone fishing and Cromwell carp lake- then use this place it's excellent have tried the Indian in the area and was rubbish this is proper food will definitely be using Google again next week are fishing at the lake. Thanks

This is one of the best dining experiences I have had. The welcome is warm without being over the top. The ambiance is subdued and relaxed. But the highlight is the food, which is easily the best, whether you eat in or take away. We eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. Well worth it if you are travelling down the A1 and want something far far better than the motorway fare.
