I love this place. It’s stylish, yet comfortable and affordable, has fantastic food that’s well plated, with lots of flavor... that you don’t feel guilty eating , and it is great for families earlier or even a late night date or hanging out with friends later . The low inflammatory menu ties into her expertise from “The Metabolism Plan” but she doesn’t scrimp on exploring and testing new flavors from around the world, frequently expanding the menu to concocting new found libations. Yum! I’d give it five stars if I could, but since we have to follow the rules for even partially non veg reviews, we can adjust the five stars to four. It’s fantastic.
Can't say enough great things. Great food, great cocktails and Lyn-Genet is a REAL person, not just the name of the place. Great spot.
Had a pleasant meal here; unsure if I would go out of my way to eat here, but it was a good option as I was coming down from a work event in the Bronx. I asked the owner what she would have of the vegan options. She said the Tandoori Veggie Burger because it would be filling and is interestingly spiced. I thought it was tasty, but a little too ... soft? The burger filling had a consistency of mashed potatoes mixed with veggies, but crispy on the outside. The sauce for it was BOMB though. I scarfed it down because I was hungry, but might choose the Thai curry next time. The burger came with a large portion of roasted veggies that I took with me bc I had no room to eat any more. The vegan pâté looks really good too. If I’m back, I’m definitely starting with that.
Nice new restaurant with a cozy interior. It's the perfect place to hang for a while. The servers and owner are super nice and helpful. There are a few vegan options for appetizers, entrees, and a dessert. We got the mushroom/lentil pate and avocado fries with drinks. The pate came on two small pieces of toast, not what we expected but tasty. The avocado fries were panko crusted and great for what they are. The dipping sauce was great but we kind of wanted some regular fries after, so we asked of we could get a basket (not offered but we saw that they had fries with entrees). They came with cheese on them so we nicely asked if they could be remade. The server happily obliged but unfortunately they came back with cheese still on the bottom half of the fries, as of the staff had just scraped some cheese off and sent them back out. This was in the first few weeks of business so I'm hoping that they've spoken to the staff on the importance of dietary needs and allergies, especially considering it's a health focused restaurant. The owner was there and she was super nice, sending us out an apple strudel on the house. She said it was originally made with butter but going forward will use avocado oil to have more vegan options! So that was great. I gave it only 3 stars as I felt the prices for portions were quite high for the area, and they only had one vegan entree. The food was tasty but not mind blowing so it's not a place we'll likely be back at. Otherwise I think it'd be a good option with a group of mixed eaters or if you want a nice quiet place for a drink!
