The Ship - New York

I really enjoyed this restaurant. It has a cool underground style with a chic vibe. The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious.

We had a reservation for 745; came there, and they told us that the last call was 815, when they had a party. Thank you for not telling us in advance! They gave up open tables, but they could have told us to go elsewhere. Beverages were good, but when I reordered the same drink it came clear while the original was cloudy; asked the bartender why (the server did not notice that it was clear I suspected) and he said they forget the citrus. So you fail for them. Too bad it looked pretty nice.

We made a reservation for 2 one and half month earlier with request of sitting at sofa table and yet we still only get normal table because we're party of two. There were many parties of 3 sitting at sofa tables without reservations. We asked if we could get a sofa table if we waited for a while and got negative answer. We came to NY for travel and wanted to have a great night so we booked early, but it didn't happen. Atmosphere was great, not a fan of how the staffs dealt with reservations.

Only had drinks since the kitchen wasn’t fully opened. The HH drinks were good. The place is pretty small and dark but I’d entertain the place again if in the area.

Great drinks and yummy food, lobster rolls were delicious!
